Will Amato has been designing websites professionally since 2001.
Before starting his own studio, he was Creative Director of Flinch Studio, where he lead the creative team behind Stainboy, Tim Burton’s much-lauded web-based animated series for Macromedia. Based on his innovative work for Stainboy, he was invited to be an animation technology consultant for the creation of Flash MX.
Before joining Flinch in 1999, Amato was Senior Editor of the San Francisco based cultural magazine, Frisko, as well as publishing his own literary magazine, Can-Can, and editing Hoo-Be-Boo, a short-lived, cutting edge underground comic journal, featuring such artists as Gary Panter, Matt Groening, Britt Ehringer and Tomata Du Plenty.
From 1977-1981, while still a teenager, Amato was a Senior Writer for Slash Magazine, a legendary punk-rock magazine covering the Los Angeles scene.
He presently lives in Los Angeles, where he does this, that, and the other thing, mostly involving websites and other digital stuff.
